Updated Coastal Home in Mijas Costa

A British couple made one of their dreams come true by buying a holiday home in Costa del Sol. They wanted to have a place for themselves, where they could come for remote working, and also to entertain family and friends. The place was found but it needed a few adjustments to make it for their taste.

Some walls were demolished to bring more light and space. A small kitchen was turned to super functional modern kitchen with the latest technique and a beautiful, curved breakfast bar - all from Schmith. Both bathrooms were renovated from floor to the ceiling with Porcelanosa tiles and furniture. Rest of the rooms were painted with neutral hue, all doors were changed to beautiful modern oak ones, and the electricity systems were updated. Also the terrace got a total makeover. The ceiling was covered with wooden slats - that creates a soothing and inviting atmosphere. Actually the wood was chosen as an accent for the whole home. The warmth and organic feel of the wood can positively impact mood and comfort.

The starting point for the furnishing and decorating was to keep the home light and airy. Adding colour splashes was on the wish list. Ocean blue velvet sofa gave a perfect base for the colour scheme.
